The Chinese Takeaway is such a big part of everyone's week in Ireland. When I first moved to London in 2022, one of the first things I did, as I'm sure every other Irish expat before and after me has done, is look for the new regular Chinese spot - a taste of home! I must've gone through about 20 different Chinese takeaways before I gave up and realised that the Chinese Takeaway just isn't the same over in London.

It wasn't until November 2024, after seeing a few TikToks go viral on the spice bag (big up Nasti2k) and a few of my English mates were now familiar with the term "Spice Bag", that I thought, "Maybe an Irish-Chinese takeaway would do alright".
